Te Ao Maori

In class we have been separating into year groups, In those groups we have been learning how to speak Te Ao Maori. We have been learning the basics such as how to introduce yourself and how to say where are you going, how someone is feeling and how to reply back to people when they say how are you.

Tena Koe -Hello to one

Tena Korua - Hello to two

Tena kouto - hello to three or more

Ke te pehea koe - How are you

Ke te __ - I am __

Pai - Good, Makariri - Cold, Ngenge - Tired ( these are only some reply's )

Ke te haere koe - where are you going.

I have been really enjoying learning Maori, it makes me feel like I am expanding my knowledge of their culture.
